Ep. 32 Lew Rockwell on the College Cheating Faux Scandal, the Sinister FBI, and How the CIA Kills People

Bob brings on Mises Institute founder Lew Rockwell to primarily discuss Lew’s article in defense of Lori Loughlin. Why is the FBI involved in a college admission scandal in the first place? And why is Lori Loughlin’s behavior so much worse than all the other cheating that happens systematically? Bob and Lew then discuss the chilling role of the FBI in American life, as well as various methods by which the CIA takes care of business. Bob also asks Lew questions submitted in the BMS Facebook group.

I think Lew was a little harsh on Trump’s foreign policy record. He is withdrawing from Afghanistan and could have been much worse to Syria than an airstrike. Hillary certainly would have been much worse.

It’s difficult to say whether Trump is in control anymore … given that people like John Bolton and Mike Pompeo are calling most of the foreign policy shots. Maybe Trump is keeping those guys around to play off against the Democrat loons and “Deep State” goons, or maybe Trump genuinely believes he gets good advice from Bolton / Pompeo.

Trump’s technique is to go this way, that way, any way, and constantly throw up distractions in the form of tweets or announcements which everyone rushes to study the meaning of. That must surely be deliberate for the purpose of keeping people guessing. Trump is highly skilled at dancing on the line between genius and idiot.

My experience from playing a lot of poker hands against the computer (which I eventually gave up because it consumes too much time) is that if you only focus on good play and technique then the computer often wins because it can always calculate better than you. On the other hand if you deliberately play slightly erratically (not too much) then the computer goes into a spin trying to figure out what you’ve got and why you did that … when you are goofing off and throwing noise into the system. Doing a bit of stupid stuff often produces more wins, at least against a methodical opponent like a computer. I don’t play against humans much and I suspect a human catches on much quicker … but then again, the way Trump plays it they don’t seem to be catching on.

By the way, my pick for the whole China trade deal is that Trump will keep finding excuses not to close that deal because basically he is happy with the tariffs … he doesn’t want to openly say tariffs and antagonism were his intentions so he talks about deals. That’s my sneaky suspicion on that topic.

To be fair to the JBS, in the later years of Welch’s life, he/they moved away from the Communist Conspiracy approach and spoke of the Conspiracy theory of history (which Bob alluded to in the question) – The CFR, Trilateral Commission, Illuminati, etc. (“The Insiders,” as they call them.)

By and large, they were/are a good organization, but as a former staff member, I take issue with them on one subject (very pro-police), and something that happened to a couple of my friends (one who replaced me when I left (and I won’t tell his story without his permission)), and the other that is more or less public knowledge re the late Will Grigg.

So I won’t endorse or support them – you are much better off going full anarcho-capitalist rather than the JBS limited government approach and putting your resources into the Lew Rockwell camp, which obviously includes the lovable Bob Murphy!

How can one contribute to publishing Lew’s new book?
