I have noticed a shift in anti drug rhetoric, so previously it seemed that conservatives were focused on the real aggression caused by drug addicts, maybe a coke head robs people to afford drugs, certainly a libertarian critique there. but recently it is entirely on the overdoses, fentanyl is so cheap that the robberies from drug addicts are not as much of a problem. But they seem to have abandoned personal and family responsibility. If you are worried about your brother dying of fentanyl, it seems you can take much better action than advocating for bombing cartels.
