I often view sin as a type of madness. Willing something outside of the design of the creator is similar to willing a purpose for an object beyond the design of the manufacturer. You may treat an F – 150 as a boat, but the manufacturer does not recommend it.

What a weird comparison. Using objects for purposes beyond the imaginations of the manufacturer is exactly how we improve technology and get wealthier.

The fact that you made some object means nothing to me after I bought the object. It’s now my object. You get no say whatsoever what I do with it.

And of course, this all assumes I even know what your opinions are about how I use the object. We have no such thing for God. We only have the opinions of other men who presume to speak for him.
