Isn’t Adam right re: the meteor of gold? if it was certain that a huge amount of gold would be dumped on the market in 5 years, such that gold would certainly be lower by, say, 80% of it’s value…then yes, the price of gold would plummet now. Why would I buy gold tomorrow at $4500/oz, knowing that it’ll be worth, say, $1000 in five years? you wouldn’t. the price of gold would plummet immediately.
Yes, I ended up agreeing with him.
