Book was a bit of a slog tbh, but even having listened to just about every Scott Horton interview, I learned quite a bit. Scott did a great job compiling the most need-to-know information on the whole rotten history.

Right afterwards, I read “No Good Men Among the Living: America, the Taliban, and the War through Afghan Eyes” by Anand Gopal, and for a lot of readers it will be a more engaging and viscerally convincing experience — it puts the human face on the Afghan tragedy.

Scott’s book on the other hand is something students and policymakers should be required to read, and pass a test on.

Another Did Not Finish. I just can’t follow this guy’s incoherent ranting. The ratio of righteousness to convincability is not very good.
