Wow, I just got 21 minutes into this episode, where Tatiana is explaining about the BDSM pedophile scandal, and it’s super creepy. I mean, of course it is. But I just wanted to express my point of view that she’s doing a good job explaining the creepiness.

So, about 29 minutes, you’re talking about torture in the Soviet Union.

I think you might find The History of Torture by Daniel P. Mannix informative. Like there’s a long history of torture even before the Soviet Union. E.g. Mannix also discusses torture during the Spanish Inquisition. And apparently there was even a Milanese judge who did an experiment to see if confessions under torture were reliable. The not-surprising result: they aren’t.

So, approximately 33 minutes in, I hear you guys talking about the history of Nazism, who sided with the Nazis, etc.

So, according to Klaus Hornig, German soldiers could refuse to obey orders and like, not get executed. Apparently, the right to disobey an illegal or immoral order was in paragraph 47 of the German military code.

So, yeah, that kind of emphasizes that the people who did obey orders were really quite evil.

I made a meme about this a little while ago.
